The Terms and Conditions for the Auction and the Race Rules are slightly different ,  so please read them carefully !  For every race  organised by   Staffordshire Moorlands and District Federation during the 2009 season , including the Breeder / Buyer race from Poole 2009, the Young Bird Moot Auction Race from Frome 2009 and the first two Young Bird Races with  separate liberations from Cheltenham 2009 and the winner of the 2 bird Cherbourg Young Bird race, the winners  will be invited to  enter a 2010 Young Bird for the  2010 Moot Young Bird Auction . For all other races  within the SM & DF,  each Section Winner of either an Old Bird or Young Bird Race of the 2009 season ,  will  also  be  invited  to enter one (1) only 2010 Young Bird in the Auction .   Obviously one of those Section Winners will also be 1st Federation  but that does NOT ALLOW AN EXTRA ENTRY.  Where  a member wins his/her Section more than once ,  he/she can enter  one (1) YB   per  Section Win. Members who have won the Federation or Section in previous years are not eligible to enter a Young Bird. The Auction Website will close at 12:00Hrs on Friday 12th February 2010 and the opening bids at the  Live Auction will start at the Final Bid recorded on the Website at 12:00Hrs on 12th February 2010.

All buyers at the Auction be aware that the Young Bird that is sold at the Auction does not have to be the offspring  from  the  race  winners from 2009, just that they must be bred within the winning members family of birds. The TOTAL of birds that could possibly be entered in the Auction is sixty - one (61). As last year , Entry to the race is Free and there are no Pools - the Federation will retain 20% of the total raised before expenses are taken into account. The Prize Money will be allocated by the Transport and Finance Committee to the first six (6) positions in the race. The race will be the 1st Young Bird race from "Frome" or an alternative if "Frome" is not available in 2010. The race will close 24 Hours after the Liberation Time. The Breeder / Buyer will liaise between themselves as regards the arrangements for picking up the 2010 Young Bird, this is in effect a Breeder / Buyer Race - Breed and Buy your own bird and you take all, if there is a Breeder and a Buyer the Prize Money is shared 50/50. The RING NUMBER of the 2010 Young Bird must be sent to the Secretary by the last day of April 2010  the number can then be entered on the Web Site, all Breeders or Buyers will then know exactly what they will be racing against. At the Auction on Saturday 13th February 2010 a maximum of only two (2) birds can be bought by any breeder / buyer, that puts everyone who enters or buys a bird on a level playing field with everybody else. Closing date for entries Sunday 12th October 2009.   It's too good to miss, so be lucky!
